I too got tired of canceling and figure out it is better quit and maybe come back if they figure out how to curb their greed. At the end of the day customer pays premium prices it is just middle man gets big cut.

Ever since Uber and Lyft went to "up front earnings" I drive very little. They need to go back to Time and Miles pay. On rides I do take, if a stop isn't in the app, I refuse to do it. I used to, but after not getting paid, hell no. Pisses passengers off, but I'm not in the business of losing $$. Uber and Lyft haven't changed what they charge the passenger, just what they pay us. And as long as idiots take those $5 for 30 minute rides, nothing will change. I'd recommend everyone contact their local city or states attorneys as in some places, the city is who set the pay parameters for rideshare. Both companies are setting themselves up for a class action lawsuit as well. Also agree, typically the more affluent people don't tip. Others I find that don't tip are people going to/from work and people going to a concert or sporting event.

Oh my God I am so glad I found this video! The other day I worked five hours I made $63! Not only that the cancellation rate is so high in the app doesn’t work when it sends me 150 miles away and I wanna come home. I’m a single mom and my cancellation rate is so high I don’t get any calls that are above like four or five dollars! I mean I even got a call for $2.80! And then the people that we pick up are assholes and are sitting here judging us and reading us and killing our ratings because they’re fucking assholes! Fucking hate Uber! They’re trying to turn us into Third World citizens and not have any kind of money and they’re getting filthy rich off of it! I have never been able to get a bonus it’s ridiculous!

We the riders need to sue uber for violations of federal law of minimum wage. We are contractors we should call the shots. We risk our lives everyday not uber. Uber makes money in every trip.Not the same case for drivers. When they pick a ride that makes money they are being retaliated for the ones they don't take.

Sometimes I get lucky... I drove 3 miles to MY local grocery store and picked up a worker... Drove her 3.3 miles home and it paid me $5.56...She showed me that she paid $7.99 for the ride, but usually it is 11 dollars. She asked for a business card and called me the next day for a 10:30am ride to work... She paid me $10 because I live so close... My first client. !!

Totally agree, I do the same, has to be at least $30 per hour total including pick up and ride. My acceptance rate is only 8% now. Unless we all pass on rides that don't pay well,, they will continue paying poorly
