@Rafa-r3r6b

Great video! I used this capacitor method to reduce the speed of my desk fan. It turned out great!

@sunman108

Good mod! Thanks for the video!

@German_byte

What a great idea!

@MrBobWareham

Very nice idea that works very well, cheers Bob in the UK

@anwarzaib5151

Nice sir

@matarra-fy7ix

Great, I have some lamps that I can't identify the resistors to change, then your solution have come to rescue!

@kiwidehaan

Hi Rob, I have a circuit that you could also demonstrate, and that is a light-sensitive switch and flashing diode in a torch, so you can find the torch at night, but the flashing diode light goes off when torch is in daylight.

@MonkellD

Wait is this the same guy from bigclive?!?!

@MrBobWareham

I have found a Circle Rocker Switch 3 Way 3 Pin 3A, on eBay, so I am going to make a two position dimmer using two caps of different values, so I will have 10% and 50% dimming. What's your opinion?

@sparkyprojects

Big clive has shown an easier way to dim a lamp, there are 2 parallel resistors next to the regulator, remove one

@rolliebca

Hi Rob, new sub from BigClive's channel. Would it matter if I put the cap on the line side instead of the neutral side? Thanks - now I got some binge watching to do. . .

@electromind4999

how can capacitor used to reduce voltage ??
as far as i know capacitors use as "temporary battery" so it store energy, and can increase the output voltage NOT reduce it .

@steve-h7z

What would happen if you put this capacitor across the L and N, would it improve power factor of the lamp?

@userking9377

100nF 400V capacitor

@imitzdevil

Sir,can I use it as a fan speed dimmer?

@maryborn7806

Amazing video! Q. Can the same process be done in reverse to increase the brightest rather than dim it?

@cotto887

what size capacitor do you use
