@MEssED89 yes you can save the background as .png be aware though if you have a transparent part in your image it will show white by default unless you go into page properties and set a background color to lay under your image. the background color will replace any transparent part of your png file.

You need to set background image to repeat-x only and choose a background color from the bottom of your image.
