Tom's poker face and subtle comebacks are a masterclass in handling media pressure. He doesn't just answer, he redirects the whole narrative. 💪
Totally behind Tom Cruise on this. Ive seen so much damage from these drugs and lost friends whos lives were ruined by them and then died.
Anti-depressants can prove life-saving in severe cases of depression. THAT said, he's 100% right. Treating symptoms vs curing the illness are two different things, and anti-depressants as a long term solution might make things even worse.
Like or dislike, he is 100% on point regarding America's drug-peddling maniacs. All under the false banner of health and compassion. Once upon a time I bought into it. No more.
This is exactly what my mother said in the 90s. I agree with Tom Cruise. My mother was often attacked by so-called friends who were jealous & ignorant. They always defended taking anti depressants because doctors approved them!! My Mother was extremely intelligent, well read with a very high IQ but very sweet tempered. Unfortunately, she used to be out numbered by very vocal aggressive, Karens who barely picked up a book & couldn't make head or tail of medical literature or terminologies..May she rest in peace. She was a brilliant academic who always politely stood her ground & was a wonderful loving Mum. I miss you, my eloquent precious Mother
When Tom commented on the drugs, the media portrayed him as a quack or idiot. Now a days I would side with him on this. Big Pharma is not the answer, education is. I think in the past he has copped a lot of heat for many reasons, but we should not be so quick to judge. We are all guilty of error, but very few of us are guilty of so much success.
The best part about the last interview was that at the end of the interview Tom said "Great interview!" Interviewer: "You really think so?" Tom: "Yeah" Interviewer: "But you didn't like some of my questions!" Tom: "Yes, and I stopped you." This has stuck in my mind for years. Tom is a charismatic man.
Mad respect for Tom Cruise.
Most of those questions are neither pointed nor loaded. The narrator assumed something and is now giving Tom credit for simply answering them
The stupid press didn't expect Tom to be intelligent. He's extremely intelligent and also a real pilot, in physical shape, and has command of his authority. Also, when you're approaching 50 or 60, you no longer put up with sh*t. You're direct and forthright and all that other drama is completely irrelevant. Yes, respect for Tom. :glasses-purple-yellow-diamond:
I’m French and I don’t understand why Americans are so much on his back. WTF is people problem with him I really don’t get it. The day this man will pass away you all will cry him. His job is to deliver fcking movies and he’s a master at that. Leave this man alone and enjoy his work. That’s SIMPLE.
Ritalin and antidepressants aren’t always good. He’s not exactly wrong. Most doctors don’t like to prescribe antidepressants without also seeking other routes.
This is a man who gives 1000% for the audience. I was a huge fan since Top Gun. Top Thunder was his showcase that he had comedic talent.
He was so right about ritalin.
that guy with the water prank surely shat his pants!!!
This man will never grow old. He is so talented and intelligent. Smiling and respectful, always so kind to others ❤
this is wild… I've spend years trying to manifest my dream life but it never seemed to work for me, I always hoped for a sign that something would finally shift. I believed in manifestation but didn’t know how to make it actually work. Then someone in a podcast recommended Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley and it just instantly clicked. The way she explains things, it’s like she’s speaking directly to your soul. That book is the reason I’m living my dream life today. If you’ve been waiting for a breakthrough, this is it❤️❤️
6:19 Actually Tom wasn't pissed, he was calmly roasting the interviewer who pranked him during an interview
Tom Cruise is a legend
