There is no Manipur during Mahabharata... Manipur was named in 18th century by Santadas Gosai.... Most Indian specially Hindus community misunderstood it, I think in Mahabharata that was Manpur not Manipur, Manpur and Manipur is different place... Manpur is in mainland India not in NE.... And that theory was made up by Santadas Gosai, so I am afraid that was not a true story. Coz there is no Hindus and Christian influence before 18th century, only Sanamahism was the religion in both hill and valley... If you want know about Manipur, I suggest you to read "Puyas"...
