@Ben-hi3df

They’ve confirmed that a green lanterns avg lifespan is only around 4 years😭

@martiandesertboy

as a blue lantern i feel bad for the green division, all i gotta do is be excited for something and i get charge up

@philasandepakade6941

Scarabs are the green lanterns' biggest ops, no joke, a red lantern, and a green lantern were fighting, and a Scarab user was WATCHING, and the green lantern stopped fighting the red lantern and went after the scarab user.

IT'S LITERALLY ON SIGHT with these guys.

@gabrielmedeiros7871

To be honest, out of the "why it sucks to be" series, this is the best one in case of pros

@omegaminoseer4539

There is a massive issue in the video. You said there were Orange Lantern(s). There is ONLY one Lantern. The rest are constructs. Larfleeze is very disgusted at the idea of being forced to share. YOUR LIFE IS MINE! IT'S MINE!

@hijino_existindo

Basically being a green lantern means "born for the job, live for the job, die for the job"

@Geek_skeleton_new

Suggitons for vidoes:
1.why does it sucks to be in hogwarts
2.Why doe sit suck to be born as a transformer/cybertronian
3.why does it suck to be born as a monster in monsters inc (Rebalion path)
4.why does it suck to be born in Panem (hunger games)
5.why it sucks to win the golden ticket (charlie and the chocolate factory)
6. Why does it suck to be born in Westeros

@Beingbornisterrible

This video perfectly captures the true weight of the ring. A Green Lantern's power isn't in the constructs they create, but in the willpower to sacrifice everything: relationships [12:05], a normal life, and ultimately, life itself [16:31]. The most impactful part is knowing the cycle just repeats [17:46], with the ring searching for another soul willing to pay the same price. It's a silent, tragic form of heroism.

@cjc2010

9:32 It's concerning that even the most advanced tech in the universe is still bottlenecked by battery life lol.

@jonavanscorea9208

just one thing, it's not 'the orange lanterns' it's just 'the orange lantern'

@LMProductions99

I think the biggest reason why a green lantern, especially a human green lantern would find it hard to retire is because it would be nearly impossible to re-enter human society as a normal person. It's like being in prison for 40 years then having to re-enter society once again.

Getting a normal job would be extremely hard, especially since a green lantern wouldn't have much normal skills or a trade since the green lantern ring did all the work for decades for its user.

That person's resume would be blank for decades which would be a red flag for most employers. Then there's the advancement of technology. A person leaving Earth in 1985 only to retire in 2025 would come back to a completely different Earth. An Earth were computers are everywhere and everything is on the Internet.

Relationships would be next to impossible. The Green Lantern life is a secret life, and if you start talking about it with your future partner, you'll just sound like a crazy person. It would be hard for any partner to connect with any retired Green Lantern that pretty much didn't really "exist" on Earth for 40 years or so.

It would be nearly impossible to rejoin society after literally leaving Earth for most of the past few decades or so.

@DrGyatt

Why it sucks to be a mandalorian.

@jeremybrummel3254

"No choice the matter" followed by "gave up their rings", that's a quick 180

@kingslayer3834

“The saiyan episode is coming any day I swear!!” I scream as they drag me into the white room

@Swonestone

At least this is the most honorable life style so far.

@FffhHfff-k8g

And after all this, Batman humiliates you in front of the rest of the heroes.

@annnichols3091

I see that the Green Lantern Corps lore has changed considerably in the 40+ years since I read the comic.

@dk16B

What a perfect time for dinner!

@claudenana8871

11:46 that's a mistake, nothing prevents you from telling people who you are, that's why Guy and John are not arrested

@NCG0804

The best video EVER. I used to always think about this when I was a kid. You brought back a beautiful memory. Thank you, and please keep up the series.
