I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.
This is PR. Private equity sinks the target company into debt, using the money to pay themselves, and plunders all company assets, including pension funds, again to pay themselves, hence the term 'vulture fund'. Once in awhile they do turn a company around, like Bain did with Staples, but that is a rare exception, not the rule.
“What do you do for a living?”
" what do you do for a living " brought me here 😂
Since Biden took office, there seem to have been more unfavorable results in America. I am really worried about the current bank crisis/interest rates, these are all the signs of yet another 2008 market crash 2.0 , so my question is do I still save in the United States dollar or is this a good time to buy gold?
Who is from Facebook video about what do you do for living? 😅
Wow. Spot on! Great explanation buddy. Kudos to the team for such a content.
In a closed end structure who protects the investor. In both structures who protect the businesses. If I was a small business owner there is no way I’m signing a deal that allows you to walk away with all profits after being so hands on. I would negotiate a piece of the pie for the end of the sale. That way it gives me a “grace” period to adjust after all the changes.
I've worked for a PE firm and this is pretty spot on, I didn't even know PE firms in Europe had a different structure, good to learn something!
Why PE? Because "private" translates to less public scrutiny, and, therefore, less responsibility, oversight, and transparency.
There are lots of mixed opinions about stocks and there projection in the next coming years, I aim for short term solid gains from market correction and I'd definitely jump on the boat if I knew a thing or two about day-trading, but then again what do I really know? I'm just looking for the right moves to grow and hedge my stagnant reserve of $370k from inflation.
Not all income investments are created equally. I've allocated my capital in a safe and sustainable way but still leave room for excitement for individual stocks, cryptos and new exciting opportunities!
Why are capital investment made into companies not publicly traded?
Private Equity, done! Software and Finance next.
Great breakdown of private equity! I've also explored how rare artifacts and fine wine are part of the ultra-rich’s secret investments. They’re fascinating because they combine passion with serious returns. Thanks for shedding light on this!
exceptionally good explanation
Just saw a post earlier about how Subway was bought off by a private equity firm. Thanks for sharing.
Fun Fact: you have a very big chance of becoming rich from private equity. My brother works in private equity making 750k + yearly. I will be doing the same!
