I hate to be 'that' guy, but that's not how this works. What it does is it switches between access points. Let's say you had multiple routers in your house and it had to bounce between them, as it's switching, it will switch between those access points faster. But, if you're like a normal home user who typically has one router, this setting would have no effect, since there are not multiple routers to switch between. Which is why, most users, even some of yours in the comments, are not seeing a change. I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and 9x times certified professional. Be careful about the information you put out there. You don't want people like me coming along ... and making it difficult to grow your channel.
Changing that to always be in the highest settings is telling your card to scream constantly.. That creates a lot of noise and can cause a lot of issues. You want less noise, wider channels, and least amount of power to accomplish.
Increasing the power of transmission is not going to increase your ability to receive faster. No, this will only help with range and penetration not speed or reliability. Infact, increase the transmitting power can cause issues like your signal bouncing around causing interference. Knowing how to turn the power up on a transmitter is not knowing why you should/n't. And without explaining any real science on how antennas and transmission works I don't understand what the purpose of this video is. Maybe title it "if you need more range and penetration" "but be aware what is over kill and will slow your connection if it's not needed." And only somebody who takes the time to learn these things will understand when it's actually needed and when it's not. I appreciate you showing us this feature, do consider things like this in the future when you post. Especially since this doesn't increase transmission power but the speed of which your Wi-Fi card hops routers...so..yeah 💯
my pc network adapter dont have transmit power option
thanks. you can also go under control panel / power options / advanced settings / wireless adapter settings and then make sure it is set to maximum performance.
thank you! my ping changed from 235 to 234

transmit power not show
If you have a USB wifi adapter plugged into youre mobo dont do this you can fry the usb port and cause the whole mobo to fail or to temp fix it you need to remove the chip for the broken usb port.
