@Weezedog

The thing I wonder about Ford recalls is that most manufactures have to be forced kicking and screaming by the NHTSA before they will issue a recall (and then only for safety issues), but is Ford doing the right thing and recalling all the things that aren't being forced by the NHTSA unlike the other automakers? Are we hammering Ford for doing what they should be doing but the other automakers are not doing? Or are all these recalls forced safety recalls by the NHTSA? Like I can't image NHTSA has the resources to do 70+ investigations a year on Ford alone.

That 3 cylinder 1.5 Liter engine was a huge mistake

@juanmolina9199

Ray remember the “CAFE” standards imposed by our dear and loved EPA. That’s why the drive to smaller engines and turbos…”CAFE”.

@GlennLaycock

lots of back up camera recalls - I have one on my car, but last update was that they were pondering how to fix it still (might be software related) - for me in winter it is often fogged in the cold, and rain they are substantially compromised - but that is hard to design a solution around.

I’m in the PNW(rural). One of my local dealers sells Jeep, Ram and Toyota. Their lot if full of Wranglers they can’t sell. The amount of brand new Toyotas on the road right now is off the chart. Has been for the last 3+ months.

Ray, the slight delay built into TV is because they want the time to “bleep” out if someone on their program uses a prohibited word like the F word.

One of the best cars I ever owned was a Datsun B210.

Ray and Zach- I have been following Doug Horner with Benz’s and Bow ties. He’s a manager at a Benz dealership in Pa. He makes a lot of behind the scenes content of making deals in his office. He prides himself on transparency and ease of making a deal. I think he might be an interesting guest on the show. Check him out if you haven’t already. 😊

Evs suck in my area,No infrastructure

@jaimegrayson2996

This problem also exists on the Ford Explorers as well, but they haven't included that in the recall information

@brucebarnes4910

Does anyone ever compare recalls to number of service bulletins issued for known problems? One company tells you they have problem and you should let us fix it, others will only fix it if you complain about it.

@jaykaplan

I love my 2024 Lincoln Corsair. No issues!

Hey guys, don't worry about live stream issues. I have a Samsung S24+ and with the latest upgrade I am not able to turn off AI. I can block some functions but not a global off switch. Also, they reprogramed the hard shutdown button to prep AI for prompts. So, now I will consider an iPhone because less investment in AI. Thank you

@BigEd1001

I think Stellantis new CEO is a bigger mistake. They needed someone with North America experience.

A plausible pronunciation could be "Fee-lo-sah," where each syllable is emphasized. However, without a definitive source, this is an educated guess based on the structure and the pronunciation of similar names.

@rodgerpetrick6502

How can a company (Ford) keep advertising their vehicles to buy, but yet they have recalled more vehicles because of flaws. I can't figure out how people who work at ford can admit to it.

@jlamm2223443

I disagree with the hosts in that GM should be putting their research dollars in EVs, to help catch up to China. I can see why GM would want to continue building and selling ICE cars, but most of those buyers don't want all the innovations that give the car one more mile per gallon and make the car last a lot shorter. They just want their father's V8. So give that to them, and put your research dollars in EVs, whether the public is buying EVs now or not, for China is improving EVs all the time, and tariff walls can't last forever. At some point, both Europe and China will be able to undercut U.S. built ICE and then where will the U.S. be with their antique cars? This already happened once when the U.S. auto industry didn't care about hybrids, because the American people wanted large pure ICE cars. So why build them, the Americans thought? Well, when gas prices went up, Americans did want them, and the American industry had nothing to compete with the Prius. Why repeat the mistake again? EVs are the future so it is best to prepare for that.
