Everyone is here for their art class but I am here to actually learn how to shade better :( Wish me luck boys, I am learning drawing.
I wanted to learn to draw for so long and never thought to look to YouTube until recently, which has been a massive help. I love the internet. Thanks for the great tutorials!
Anyone watching in bed like "I'll do it later"
Ah yes I may be the only person here learning shading because I want to draw for fun.
If you don't want the shading to be so grainy-looking, try using your finger to blend out the graphite. It gives the shading a nice, soft look to it.
Whoβs watching during virtual art class on a still life drawing procrastinating β
tip that helps When your using a pencil, make sure to move your lines further apart away from eachother when its lights and the lines closer and darker when the shadows are dark.
trying to do this with a number two pencil on printer paper bc i have an art assignment and i just moved... pray for meπ
almost everyone who came here was by their art class me: My D&T teacher sent me here. π
I so appreciate this video! I've been teaching art for 15 years. Every time I teach shading it's with these 5 forms. Watching your video is much better than students having to watch me try to quickly yet accurately do this!
I'm in a drawing class and for our first classwork we are dealing with shapes. This video helps me too better shade and draw my basic shapes.
my teachers don't even teach, they make me watch this and answer questions
Pov: You hate art but are sitting here watching it in lockdown 2021
Total beginner and I am missing a lot of information here. Where exactly did you assume your light source to be? A mark on the paper would help to visualise that. How do you determine (construct) where the "core shadow", "midtone" and "hightlight" areas should be placed? Where does that "reflective hightlight"come from and would it still be there if the object was not placed on a white surface? If this is not targeted for beginners then never mind - otherwise it would be great if you could add that info.
I'm currently in study hall trying to look productive. lol
instead of yall asking who here because of art yall need to drop them answers lmao no kizzy
