they say you die two deaths, one when you pass from this world, and one when Katy Perry knows you're dead

@pzkitty6783

“You’re a natural, babe!”
“You’re unnatural, babe!”

@rebbekahcannons9805

"I don't own Neil" truly no one could an untameble meme machine

@homefander

bro... in the beginning they say 'they love your throat, your hands, and quote-unquote you' but in the end they say 'new throat, new hands, new.... living tissue' and im gonna yell....

@cryptidcore424

that cute little ghost that floated across the screen a couple times really elevated this whole video

@VoidHearted

This song can be about two things:

The manipulative and abusive practices of the music industry (capitalizing off dead artists, bringing back older musicians promising they’ll make them popular again even though the new music has no heart, making artists continue to perform even though they don’t enjoy singing anymore because they’re in a contract)

Or reviving Michael Jackson’s zombie and making it go on stage while it’s very obviously falling apart

@earthprisonpanopticon

as much credit as songs like touch-tone telephone and cabinet man get for being the most popular songs on the album, i honestly feel that lifetime achievement award is the best put-together

@jay-tbl

Wikipedia editors changing "was" back to "is" after they revive Micheal Jackson: i am speed

@marchdragon

Just realized that during the last chorus you can hear zombie breathing noises
implying that these guys really had no idea what they were doing

@tpo100cofficial9

even him expressing he doesn't endorse belief in the occult is funky as shit

@meganr9102

I love how aggressive and threatening the lyrics are towards the subject; like, the scariest part isn't bringing someone back from the dead, it's doing so without them having any say in the matter, forcing them back into a life of performance and expectations that they maybe they didn't want to return to.
Brb gonna write this vibe into a dnd plot ^u^

@polybius3821

Before he's put in the cabinet smh

@putriscool

the little side comments in spirit phone are so funny to me, like "that's being revised!" or "won't she be surprised" or "it's like we know what we're doing or something" or in cabinet man the "maybe they were predisposed to madness, who knows?" like thats so fuckig funny to me

@Emma_The_H0ppin_H00ligan

3:16 me holding my cat up to the mirror

@SaulCheeseMan

"die hard fans they love your hands they love your throat"
"New hands new throat" GOD I LOVE LEMON DEMON

@tealribon

love the lil ghost floating across the screen

@trulysyntax

i actually read somewhere that this interaction:
"it's like you haven't aged a day, oh!
it's almost like we know what we're doing, or something."
could also double as a nod to the fact that people think neil is reverting back to his older styles of music in this album, but he knows exactly what he's doing.

kind of a neat thought

@sneakycatto3886

So this is about reviving Michael Jackson-?
I never realized.

@thewordywarlock7159

Ok, now that I actually know the lyrics, this song is mindblowing. "Diehard fans adore your hands, they love your throat and, quote unquote, 'you'." Holy Shit. Thank you very much for this, the way you chose to display repeated words is really cool. Also, I love how the background is the proverbial "light" you see when you die.

@NovaliteDreams

Ayo let's pull a lifetime achievement award when Neil dies
