For anyone who doesn't know Tensor cores are a part of Nvidia's GPUs since the Turning (technically Volta actually) architecture, so not that new, and are not exclusive to laptops. They do help in AI, but not in gaming (as for content creation it's very case to case dependent) . On a side note AMD is a decent option for AI if you are on linux and you should never use a 3500$ laptop for AI training. Get a desktop PC and a cheap ultra-book to use as a thin client.
