Hi Alex, Deepika here. Thank you so much for picking this topic. People are so misinformed about LTR and citizenship by marriage and your video explained it beautifully. I am glad to have chosen your channel to learn more about Malta. Excellent video ❤
I am an EU and not interested to get Maltese passport but I'm still watching this because I enjoy seeing your face and listening your voice 😂
Talk about the naturalization way, some people claim you can only apply (without being married to Maltese) after 18 years!
Thanks, Alex for the info. FYI, the waiting list for Maltese lessons might take quite a long time as I had to wait 1 year for each stage. At the moment I am on stage 2 so its been 2 years so far 😏. The lessons will finish in July 2024 most likely the whole process take around 3 years :) I wish everyone the best of luck hopefully they will be lucky and they won't wait as long. The courses are given by Ibelong they may visit the website.
Hi Alex ! Always enjoy your contents. Can you please make a video on education system or schooling in Malta, this will be helpful for families eager to relocate Malta with children.
I’m very fortunate, I met my Maltese wife 30 years ago. I became a Maltese citizen in 2019. I have the best of both worlds splitting my time between NY and Malta. I love Malta, and if you can get Maltese citizenship go for it!!
Citizenship and residence by investment can be obtained through rentals not necessarily puchases. The main cost is the governmental donation. Citizenship by naturalisation (through residence) can be obtained after 5 years of residence theoretically, 15 years in practice.
Hi, Alex, My wife and I have been watching and enjoying your videos for over a year. My wife is a naturalized U.S. citizen from Canada; I am a U.S. citizen. We are in the process of applying for Malta residency through the Malta Retirement Programme (MRP). This is to say that we have some experience with immigration in both the U.S. and Malta. Alex, we love you, but we have to take exception with a comment you made in this video. You said, "Guys, for those of you that you think this is America -- you can go and pay someone just to get a citizenship -- no, it doesn't work in that way." I'm sure what you say about the strictness of the Maltese immigration system is true. But you have a very skewed understanding of immigration in the U.S. My wife has been through it from top to bottom. She first lived in the U.S. on various visas, and later, after our marriage, as a permanent resident, and, finally, citizenship. It is a long and expensive process, expensive even without a lawyer. And, yes, U.S. immigration authorities are well aware of scam marriages and take the same investigative steps you describe Maltese immigration authorities as taking. In summary, your viewers should not be left with the impression that immigration to the U.S. is easy. It is difficult and expensive. We wouldn't want anyone making that mistake. We expect to begin our new lives in Malta this spring. We look forward to seeing you there! Warmest regards, Tom & Joce
How many months we have to spend to take the passport.?
"ODLICNO" 🏆 👏 😊. Well said and perfectly articulated Alex. Although I already have Maltese nationality, I was curiously reading about this the other day - must say your explanation is much clearer. UK 🇬🇧 and Australia 🇦🇺 for example are similarly STRICT when it comes to obtaining Nationality PLUS one has now to sit for a "written test" 📝 as well in these countries. THANKS ALEX. Dobro 🎤 🎥 👏. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™
This video didn’t really apply to me as I’m in the process of getting my citizenship by decent but I still found it interesting.
Hi Alex a brilliant video how about a retirement visa for a UK national 🤔
Good information just i think you should mention that once you apply for the Maltese courses you need to wait almost one year so they call you to start the courses. My suggestion would be to apply for the courses before those 5 years passed.
Alex, Great channel! Could you do a video on how to obtain health insurance in Malta. Thank you.
Alex thank you for another great vlog very informative.
Can I get long term id in Malta if I have long term id in other EU countrie?
Hi Alex! Thank you for the great information!
Alex i want to get married to you so am coming to Malta for Christmas and to look for you. I like your videos and your happy spirit.
