Ok, cool. I watched the video, great job :) A few powerpoints if I may... Aspects which come to mind that you may find enlightening and beneficial regarding the Golden Ratio; The spin of galaxies, blackholes, the planets around the sun, ocean waves, the vortex created when water is going down the drain, even our DNA spin in Golden Ratio proportions. Not only the spin, when those celestial objects down to our DNA have not been compromised their height, width, length, weight are all golden ratio proportioned The most prevelant angles in nature can be discovered when dividing 360 degrees by the Golden Ratio; 222, 137.52 (most abundant angle in nature), 85, 52, etc... Golden Ratio is the only frequency which can be added, subtracted, divided, or multiplied by itself and equate to a Golden Ratio number that fits precisely within the proportions .618 × .618 = .382 .382 + .618 = 1 The Golden Ratio genesis is the only number which can be squared and then added to its sum and equal 1 The only possible way to achieve a vortex that goes on for an eternity is using the Golden Ratio. Golden Ratio proportions create perfect nesting, perfect embedding, perfect compression, perfect coherence, constructive wave interference... no other proportion in existence can achieve any of those characteristics I just stated. I must keep moving so here is the drop mic moment... Golden Ratio proportions are absolutely, inequivically, indisputably, the proportion from which matter is capable of being created/manifesting from... EKG brain scans show when someone is angry or self absorbed/egotistical or in fear, the waves being emitted by the brain are long, slow and in utter disorder/destructive. But, when individuals are feeling empathy, compassion, and love..the waves emitted are short, have a high velocity, and are in perfect Golden Ratio proportions-order/constructive. Scientifically proving, this physical realm was literally made through love and compassion. With that, my friend. **May the Source of the vacuums force be with you and everyone else** ✌❤

I learned about the golden ratio at school and Leanardo and other masters use. I thought the rule of 1/3 was ok, close enough, but your explanation Andrew is fantastic and the mist has cleared.you are a natural communicator. Now for those callipers

The best explanation I've seen so far especially when it comes to how one can apply the golden ratio to existing paintings. I'm currently struggling to work out the best possible composition for a cloudscape that I've been working on for two months already and will certainly use these principles to figure out where to place the focal points.
