6:18 VENOMOUS If it bites you and you die, it's 'venomous' If you bite it and you die, its 'poisonous'
another thing about chernobyl worth mentioning is that due to war, there has been a hole breached in the new safe confinement. it’s talked very little about and deserves more attention
Room 39 sounds scary, imagine some popular service you use is found out to be connected to room 39 and gotten rid of.
2:33 as a kid, it was my goal to become an archaeologist & work on the Qi Shi Huango, but I did terrible at the science part of anthropology & could not learn Chinese. Kinda glad I didn’t succeed, obvs the dig won’t happen in my lifetime, but I did get to see the soldiers in person. I promptly burst into tears & my friend, who was fluent, had to explain to Chinese tourists that I wasn’t sad & I knew they were just statues, but it was my dream to see them. I kind of love that the tomb is still a mystery.
USA : builds NORAD command in a mountain USSR : "write that down, write that down"
1:50 it's important to make this cave forbidden to visit also to protect the species there, not just humans, since this cave has species that only exist there, they're very vulnerable and special, it's extremely important to preserve them, for the respect for nature and also to study how life can adapt itself, absolutely fascinating :)
Missing from the list is Gangkhar Puensum - the tallest mountain in the world that has never been summited. It's off limits to climbers due to religious beliefs and all climbing activities are banned by the Bhutan government.
Just a minor note, those snakes are venomous, not poisonous. Venom can do no harm when placed on the skin, unlike poison which can be absorbed. Venom must be injected into the bloodstream
I lived near the snake island, it was a pretty cool view from the coast, I spent a lot of time just looking at it and imagining whats going on there
I lived near Yamantay in my childhood, my grandad worked on the site in 1950s so it's untrue that it was built in 80s. The nature there was the purest, greenest trees I ever saw. We used to gaze at the mountain in the kindergarten as our caretaker explained to us that yaman meant bad and tau meant mountain in bashkir language. Such a convoluted emotions to understand that I spent my childhood near russian leaders last resort in case of nuclear war, especially when you know that no one from our city (except few engineers and maintenance workers) would get to the bunkers would the bombs fall. Also the whole area is highly restricted and unless you have someone from your ancestors who worked there you won't get the permission to even visit.
Finally you are getting sponsers now I don't have to worry about you not able to make videos, thanks dude
Poisonous snakes? Just don't eat them!
Number 1: your bathroom when dad's in it
5:20 That's -88.88C for normal people
Imagine being the first to discover the lascaux caves. That feeling must have been quite special
unfortunately, with the Chernobyl protection, Russia recently bombed it causing failure in the design and needs to rebuild. With the war, that rebuilding is impossible leaving radiation to slowly leak out once again
fun fact: some absolute mad-lad went inside of the reactor hall in chernobyl and filmed it, then he returned two more times
1:10 ROMANIA MENTIONED YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
