@pervertedalchemist9944

I like the vintage design of it...and that's about it.

@CounterRhythms

I'd like to see you revisit a unit that plays fast after it has supposedly "settled in". Call me skeptical of it improving over time. πŸ˜‚

@ralphreinhardt6020

It looks nice and sounds decent on CD and the record player. However, I gotta say. I'd never buy this. Still this was classic Record-ology. So I dug it. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

@SkiBumMSP

I do like the look of it. I've always liked that "mid-century" look. A lot of that was still in vogue while I was growing up and I always did like that "retro-modern" look. My one aunt's house was just decked out in that mid-century stuff back in the 70's and I always thought it looked cool even then. As to this particular unit, in addition to the missing AM/FM tuner, I also notice it does not have any type of USB or SD card to allow playing MP3s. It does seem to sound pretty good with the records and CDs, despite using that "plastic fantastic" record player mechanism. Yeah, that tape deck is pretty janky. I can see the lack of an AM/FM tuner can be off putting to some. I personally now use internet radio when I want to just listen to music being played in a radio-like fashion. Can find a station that is very niche and will actually play the music I am interested in. It is so much nicer instead of having to sit through several songs I don't care for or just flat out don't like until getting to a song I actually do like, or having to sit through commercials. Heck, I don't think I even have the antenna hooked up on the tuner on my Marantz pre/pro as I don't think I've ever used the tuner on that thing, except maybe just once to test it out to see if it works and how it sounds.

@Elvisfan05

Love the looks recently bought a victrola empire I’m happy with it

@mileshigh1321

I really like the wood cabinet, and the hardware like the hinges and lid holder are nice quality too. The overall mid century look, is really nice! Too bad it has so many problems!

@markmarkofkane8167

More interesting stuff! I like entry level stuff. I grew up with very lo-fi monaural phonographs. I didn't have a stereo phono until I was about 14. The fancy turntables are superior, however I like to go back and relive my childhood memories. I still have all of my childhood 45 RPM records.

@Trance88

Argh. Something of this size should come with a moving magnet cartridge these days (with built-in preamp). I think its inexcusable and a total cop-out. It honestly shouldn't cost that much more.

@gregsnarke610

I have Victoria record player and blue tooth 🦷 I love ❀️ that I got for Christmas πŸŽ„πŸ‘

@jerickzane

I would like to hear a 45 rpm played from the 70's since that 's what I mostly play, 70's 80's It does sound very nice.

@thebottomband

How does Victrola decide when to use the better quality turntable w/Audio Technica cartridge? They are certainly cheaping out on the CD and cassette mechs here.

@jimmysouders5640

Wow it's sound good

@BackgroundMusicman-i8b

I bought this unit when they first came out last fall. Loved the look. The speakers were great. Even my cassette deck worked! The turntable though, mine must have had a bad motor, the speed was all over the place. It would speed up and slow down. I played 100 records on it over three weeks thinking it might even out. Never did, so like you, I had to return it as defective. Ugh.

@dhpbear2

24:56 - Are there tweaks to adjust each speed?

@Dave-n1v

They should nix the cheapo Sparkomatic cassette deck and spend a few more dollars getting the record player right.

@johntaylor-jp3jy

I have a theory that the speed issue is by design to compensate for different factors. 60hz vs 50hz depending on your region. Also, modern vinyl is thicker and heavier then the inexpensive flexi vinyl from the Seventies and Eighties, so it’s going to weigh down the platter and cause slight drag

@TheSquaredM

Still need more cow bell!

@dmcintosh1967

This probably the first all in one i have seen that didn't have a radio and to me thats deal breaker.

@marktubeie07

15:40 hilarious !!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@StevenS757

Any chance you can open it up? Mainly to show how hard it is to service and adjust.
