1. Instead of asking "Tell me about yourself.. your background", change it to "What if" questions

2. Active unlearning. Always challenge your mindset, find out new possibilities, link with new information. As quoted by Mahatma Gandhi "I must reduce myself to zero"

3. Prioritizing exploration over exploitation.. To never fall too far in love with your wins, but rather continue to proactively seek out what might kill you next.

We are entering a future where IQ and EQ both matter way less than how fast you are able to adapt.

@evolvedcopper2205

the consequences of failure to adapt is a topic in project management that always fascinated me

Improvise.
Adapt.
Overcome.
Then give a TED talk about it.

Thanks for Natalie Fratto inspiring sharing on ways on measurements and improvement on adaptability! Personally thinking, these 3 ways (Changing from "Tell me about yourself.. " to "What if" questions; Active unlearning; Prioritizing exploration overexploitation) are important for us to not only improve how well we react to an ability of change, but also to help us make a good and friendly relationship to the world, as well as to others equally. These are something I need to learn for life.

@Jean980

Gandi's quote "I must reduce myself to zero. So long as man does not of is own free will put himself last among his fellow creatures, there is no salvation for him" was heavily saying no to materialism/consumerism. I think it's strangely ironic this quote is being used for business investing :P

@lediukrain3100

Absolutely right, our world is now developing at a rate as crazy as it was at any previous stage of development!

@kisonsl6659

This is what happened to Fernando Alonso in 2007! He ran into a completely unexpected situation of being an in-form double world champion racing with a slightly faster or equally fast team mate favoured by the management...Had he kept calm, understood the situation & tried to adapt he would of won the championship that year with his experience. Because both Hamilton & Alonso are equally fast & skilled when given the fastest car but when the car is not that helping Hamilton becomes the spoiled kid (2009-13) while Alonso can give his best even when the car is 2nd or 3rd best (his best seasons were with Ferrari a lesser car he pushed to the limit)

@Je.rone_

Adaptability in a highly technological age is ever more important 💪

@PyckledNyk

And this was all before the Covid pandemic. A need to focus on adaptability is more important than ever.

@morz8191

I think the biggest problem for those entrepreneurs would be what is the meaning of “riding a backwards brain bike” instead of how to ride it. Nobody is certain that doing sth would definitely bring back success. The most safe way for them is to stay in the circle.

To never fall too far in love with your wins

Thinking of Moore's Law when she spoke of tech rapidly increasing its sophistication

@sotenm

Blockbuster-Netflix example was spot-on!

Truly ideas worth sharing, every week, thank you TED!

@kenlemay1972

Wow.  Very insightful.  Thank you.

@michaelpalmer4387

Like my car. The indicators/lights & windscreenwipers/screenwash were on opposites sides to what I was used to, but it comes to me easily now (after a couple of months)

@David__

Thanks for sharing Natalie! Super-relevant :)
