I once stood at a red light in London while everyone else was crossing the road and one guy went: "she must be German" 😢😂 It wasn't even a proper road it was just the lorry entrance to a parking lot but I just couldn't do it.

Not crossing the road when the light is red, even if there are no cars coming, is something that Japanese people also share. What's more, from elementary school or kindergarten, children are taught to always look both ways before crossing the road, even if the light is green. It's an interesting similarity.
