I'm currently working as a QR. I'm so glad to have finally found a video that isn't spreading misinformation about quant finance, made by someone that hasn't done their research. There is so much garbage out there! This is a great intro to the main roles in the quant world :)

@Xun_Liu_International

YouTube has recommended several excellent videos. I particularly enjoyed this one. As an international student, I commenced my financial journey last August, focusing on derivatives. While I performed well, my studies were limited to a small college, which lacked comprehensive quantitative finance education. This left me curious about the subject matter. I realized that quantitative finance may involves strategic thinking, coding, and utilizing advanced technology to analyze xxx. However, I faced a decision regarding whether to pursue a finance major. Ultimately, I decided to switch to artificial intelligence and computer science, as I sought a field with a more uncertain future. Despite my lack of knowledge about the field, I appreciate your honest advice.

@aishatoyelaade7897

Thank you so much. I am currently doing my masters in statistics, and I want to break into quant. I was so confused till I came across your video. I am happy I found your video, it was insightful

@Three.Six.Nine.

For Researchers what math knowledge do they look for? Do they look for a deep understanding in Probability/Statisics, linear algebra and courses like that, or do they look for more abstract, less relevant courses like Complex Analysis, Topology etc.

@desisicario260

Today's video is something i need the most this year thanks once again.

@worstbuffs9189

Love the way this video is presented. Thank you!

@y_x__i

@Zenifi18

@guascher0075

@igorseijimaeda6179

Great video.
I'm not from the US, but I'll probably be able to do a PhD in Finance (from a top 5 uni) in a few years. My background is a BA in Economics. Do you think it's possible for me to get into quant?

@njsir3826

Impressive quality content 🔥, We need more videos like indepth roadmap, resume building, best applying processes and resources as well

@dsllvv

Your content is really unique. Thank you so much!

@Navoshay

By the year end, goal is to start making money with quant I have studied python and some pandas. The only doubt that goes on in my head is, why would my model be far better than the ones built by ppl sitting at top companies and the best resources possible...anyway, cab you suggest me a way to grab an internship in some company related to this by april may. Bg: 6th sem AIML undergrad

@fluuvys7418

I have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Should I pursue a master’s or even a PhD if I want to break into quant, specifically in quant research? Also, what field should the master’s be in—computational finance, statistics, or machine learning?

@pannanangha9885

Thanks for the advice! Two questions: What knowledge do I need to have for quant research as an undergrad? Are there specific research areas in math/cs that would bolster my resume?

@NadidLinchestein

Make a video on resume - what things impress the recruiters and how to get shortlisted.

@younb-r1e

How much does age factor in for bachelor students? Im 16 , just finished high school im thinking maybe to take 2-3-4 gap years and grind undergraduate level compsci and math textbooks so that when im in college i already know all the material and can focus all my time on networking or internships or projects. Only downside being id be a year or two older than everyone in my class

@anonymousavatar57

I have a bachelors in finance, and going for a masters in Finance (STEM).... Will these together with quant related certifications on coursera be of help to land a quant trader job? Please advise.. much thanks

@piggy4651

@MsQqyy

Thank you for the information, very helpful. Would you recommend to pursue a master of financial engineering to break into quant research/trader?
