Fun fact :Ln and anime ayanokoji are actually the same on the outside. Kinu clearly retconned ayanokoji personality after vol 3 when he acts so different. It is stated in the light novel that ayanokoji face is like a doll his expression never changes, which is just like the anime . The only reason anime ayanokoji feels like a robot is because we don’t hear most of his inner monologues. But other then that anime ayanokoji and ln are the same

To me, the anime made him emotionless is kinda make sense. He is not good at expressing emotions, he is a person who is thinking alot and most of his reaction is just inside of him or just some small expressions. And anime does make him have some expressions if you pay attention to how they draw his eyebrow
