Very touching interview with the daughter of Dr. Najibulla, ex-President of Afghanistan. He has a special place in the hearts of Indians as a dynamic leader of his country and as a great martyr who sacrificed his life for his country. It was indeed nice to hear her views about her stay in India during her school days. About future of Afghanistan after September 2021, while she is hopeful, one is not sure how things will turn out in future. It is sad to see a country like Afghanistan torn asunder by violence due to ethnical, ideological, religious differences and also due to terrorism as well as being victim of great power rivalry. We are friends of Afghan but can not much for them except offer humanitarian aid. Hope Amitabh will get Ms. Heela again for more discussions.

More than anything I hope the powers that be, are listening in to the young Afghanis all over the world. And in India too the memories of India she has taken back with her are the things we are proud of. We sing in the choir, listen to qawwali know bhajans and our patriotic songs (the latter thanks to all India radio that played only those during the wars) To make India a theocratic state would be a shame. It will devalue it from its outstanding status of being the most tolerant and multi faceted in the world
