The outburst by Trump is just another episode of Trump reality TV. He needs to show an occasional flash of "disappointment" at Putin because it's needed to appease and hold at bay the Russia hawks in his Authoritarian party in Congress. The Party appeasement is a complicated dance, for now. He will need them until he doesn't. But so far, Putin and is Autocrat student Trump are playing their cards very well.
