@t3cube

this guy should be a data analyst. very well put together!

@ccbcco

Oral B brushead has a slot or hole in it that lets in schmutz and gunk that coats the drive shaft and mold up as you brush over time.

@leonprez231

I have both. I can tell you for a fact the sonicare is much much better. In every single way

@vidsforsquids

I’ve had both and the Sonicare Diamondclean 9300 is my fave !

@BrianW1612

Personally having used both, I find the sonic brushes get between the spaces in your teeth far more effectively. The oscillating action of the oral-b misses the smaller gaps.

@zazazaaazzzaaz

I'm considering buying the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 for €45, but I'm curious to know which Philips Sonicare toothbrush would be equivalent or slightly above (maybe I can find it discontinued) in terms of quality and price?

Sonicare brushes a little better but is less reliable than the Oral-B.

It’s like comparing a BMW with a Lexus. A BMW performs better on the track and has a better interior but the Lexus just lasts forever and costs less to maintain.

@uranium5694

Having used a "regular" Oral B and a Sonicare, Sonicare is what I preferred in the end for the more gentle brushing they offer compared to Oral B. Oral B feels very aggressive during the time I used it where the Cross action brush head irritated my gums during the first 5 or so uses. This is clearly not the case with Sonicare where both me and my gums enjoyed it much more and I basically have no complains for the brushing and cleaning sensation of a Sonicare toothbrush.

But then Oral B releases the io and since I have never used one I need to ask out of curiosity : Is the Oral B io more gentle with brushing to the point that it will remind me the brushing of a Sonicare or the io is as aggressive in brushing like a "regular" Oral B is ?

@grayrabbit2211

My last two dentists would agree with this. There's NO benefit to the more expensive toothbrushes. Once you've got an Oral B / Sonicare, you're there. All of those extra modes aren't going tog et used, and even if they did, are just doing the exact same thing -- brushing your teeth. Technique is the next problem for most people. The Oral B will clean better as long as proper technique is used. That said, most people use it incorrectly, so might be better served with the Sonicare.

I will say, the Oral Bs I've used last forever. 10+ years on each.

@VnukDarvina

Thank you for the sounds comparison, what the work! 🙌🏻

@Oerger89

Im a sufferer or gum recession and lately i've kept noticing that frontal top teeth keeps building up plaque just at the gumlines and the sonicare never managed to remove it unless i angled the bristles and jammed them in. According to my dentist's followups it was most probably made recession worse. Oral B had no issues what so ever..

Also there is some inevitable buildup on sonicare connection point that makes the toothbrush more noisy and become less vibrating..i dont have needled that are narrow enough to reach all the way. Just a headsup that sonicare might be a future hassle for you

@MrGpapa1

Hi there. Could you advise which would be the best purchase between the Sonicare 9000 diamond clean and the new Sonicare 7100, both are currently available for a similar price and the 7100 is a much more recent model with some newer tech. Thanks 👍🏼

@HugoMachine

Wow, finally some clarifications about the huge amount of models! Thanks

@edwardrogers-wright1604

I've used oral-b with both round and dual action heads for over ten years. Are there oral-b sonic and ultrasonic brushes you can recommend?

@afroditta6950

All my Phillips SC seems to die in less than a year due to battery, I had plenty of them in the past 10 years. Just switched to Oral B and I definitely feel like it cleans better. Can't talk about their longevity yet.

@ashresearcher

Exactly the video i was looking for. This topic was a challenge for a while

@nohandle-01

Thank you. Settling on one has been doing my head in today! I just got the SC 3100 in the UK so many thanks. Sadly I’m not expecting this one to be as good as the old Sonicare I have which has just died on me after 5 years but hopefully not too dissimilar.

@SandraJones-vm4fb

My hygienist say get an electric tooth brush. Your data had truly HELP for my first Sonicare

@smilebot484

i suspect oral b has a better more agressive marketing because they seem to be the most recommended but end users appear to typically prefer philips. i would love to see a disclosure on this video. who is paying the piper?

@patrickgruis2228

I can buy the sonicare 7100 for 180 euro, or the sonicare 9400 for 165 euro. Is it true that the 7100 has newer technology, or is it better to buy the 9400 instead?
