You tutorial video is superb. I have a suggestion, if you would have divided this entire video into many videos and each one discussion on aspect of the tutorial at a time you would make it easier to learn quickly. And for you you would have had many more different titles of videos and more clicks more visibility in youtube.... Lastly you are a fantastic teacher

Absolutely amazing!  I have watched at least 10 other videos and yours is the best.  What are the chances you have a current video on how to switch to using blocks if you are currently using the Classic Editor Plugin.  I am afraid to disable it until I can find a walk thru!

Your video is great and I am learning a lot.  You said we cannot make a pattern out of a button, and you were correct, sort of... 
I have version 6.6.1 and when I click the button, I don't get the "create pattern" option. But, when I go to the outline and click on the button group, i.e. 
button  <---- this one
     button 
I get the option to create a pattern.

I tried making a single column and putting the button inside. I categorized it "push button.  When I went to the outline to see why I could not edit the button, I saw the above structure. That's when I tried clicking on the top "button" and look at the drop down menu.  "create pattern" was there. 

ALSO 

I noticed that when I was looking at different themes, I could duplicate some patterns and use them when I was in a different theme, even after deleting the original theme they came from.  But, when it comes to page templates, I can only edit the pages while the theme is active.  

I admit that I'm ignorant in all this, I'm literally learning WP again after 8-10 years of just tinkering with it. This newer version is so much better. 

But, is there a way to copy the entire page template and pasting it into another page, and make that page a new template?  

I would think that, barring java and php, the format of the page should copy. I suppose I would have to duplicate each of the patterns, but it seems to me that it could be done.
(I'm keeping in mind the block based themes, only.)
Any ideas? 

Same thing for the color pallet.  One theme is of no use for my purpose, but I love the color pallet it uses.  Is there an easy way to capture and store color pallets?

Hi there, I am not sure how to address you as you were not introducing yourself in this video, but I wanted to thank you wholeheartedly for this video, it makes me understand more about block editor, I am currently installing Astra Theme and under the Free Stater Template I have install "Gelatic", but I do not how to customize it to fit in my content, do you have any video that shares how to do Global customization for the header, footer, typography, color to make the website consistent across the page. thank you very much for your valuable input. I am a beginner affiliate marketer, and I will document my journey, can I share your video in my blog when comes to building a website with Block Editor page builder?

I have a quick question if I may..@approximately  07.10 in the video, you show how to insert blocks by click - hold & drag the block where its wanted. Mine doesn't do that..I'm using twenty seventeen theme could that be the reason why?

Question for anyone who knows: I only have a choice to use elementor for writing. But I don't want that. Do I need to disable the entire plugin or is there a setting, so I can just WP block editor instead? Also, where is the option to get the floating box with "Short code, youtube videos, ect" I had some help on my site and now I can' t find my old wordpress post writer 😢
