Menopause eliminated 95% of my leg hair. That hair found a new home on my upper lip and chin.
I have fair skin and dark hair, so hair growth on my upper lip and chin was very obvious and really impacted my confidence. I chose electrolysis for removal. I experienced very little discomfort and had no side effects. The process was time intensive, but the cost per session was very manageable. I have not had any regrowth of hair at all and it’s been at least two years since my last session. Having electrolysis was one of the best decisions I’ve made to enhance my appearance.
Electrolysis worked for me for facial hair. It took a year but 20 years later, all is good.
As an electrologist , electrolysis is the only FDA approved permanent hair removal.
It's interesting in the fact that so much emphasis money, research and study is put on saving the hair in one area of the body while removing it in other areas of the body!
finally started on electrolysis. best decision ever. electrolysis is a permanent hair removal unlike laser hair removal.
PCOS Person here! My derm told me electrolysis is the better option for hormonal hair growth. I have my first session next week. This was very informative and helpful, so thank you!
Electroylosis was the best choice I ever made. Yeah it’s time consuming but it is so worth I have gained my confidence back. My only regret is not starting sooner
your skin is glowing in this video
Electrolysis is a godsend. Laser never really did anything for me as my body hair is pale blonde. Would recommend 100%
Sooo silly ol me did laser hair removal a couple of years ago at a medspa filled with mean people. Told the lady I had PCOS beforehand. I paid 5k for a whole year's worth of full body laser hair removal with the Alex laser, I think? Hair grew back thicker and with more density. The owner THEN chose to tell me about the adverse side effects with PCOS (after the fact), basically said "Oh well", and didn't offer to give me my money back or something else she could do for a discount. So now I'm here with more hair, and I have to wax every week. I pray for the day I can afford electrolysis. All that pain for nothing.
I just love your professionalism in your videos. I love that you really check all the boxes to give all the most accurate info. Not that doctors cant laugh or have fun in a video, but for me, it makes me feel like im getting info from a reliable source. Thanks! :)
Anyone else wants to become a dermatologist for the sole purpose of treating themselves ? 😑
Thanks Doc! ❤ I just signed up for laser! had my 1st treatment and really did see a reduction...I mean I was plucking my upper lip and chin constantly! I had tweezers stashed everywhere because it was a daily chore.
I’m in South Africa for a temporary period of time. Here laser hair removal is far more affordable so I decided to go for it. Never could afford it back in Texas!
Laser hair removal is the best choice I’ve ever made & I wish I did it sooner. However I haven’t kept up with maintenance treatments so I have a few random hairs that grow here and there
Happy Friday and Happy Mother’s Day Weekend to all the mom’s out there!
Did blended electrolysis 25 years ago along the bikini line and lower legs. It took several sessions over 1.5 years (every few months) and required numbing cream but it was one of the best things I ever did. It is a slow and sometimes painful process but it has stayed GONE except for a few hairs that are much finer. I did have one experience with infection where it created a boil-like sore. It went away but did discolor for a while.
Laser Hair removal was the best investment in myself❤ I haven’t shaved in 10 years
