The Scottish accent was a clever move, Merry’s accent is pretty distinct and would’ve given him away pretty quickly even with the voice changer so altering it let him get away with similar speech patterns w/o making it too obvious.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how merry absolutely DESTROYED this competition. I mean literally no one batted an eye or made a second guess of who he could be and focused on the others instead. He blended in so well it was like a rush of victory when I first watched it.
