@Idonttakethisseriously

would be better if you released this sound raw without any effects man..

I have an AT2020 and since I’ve gone on to but far expensive mics but if anyone is reading this - please invest on your skills and not mic haha. At2020 can win you Grammy.

@talesaudio

The AT2020 sounds harsh and tiny compared to the Lewitt. But its good value

@krustdogg131

I was in a forum once and a guy posted an at3035 against a nueman u87. Everyone thought the 3035 was the u87 because he just eq'd the high frequency slightly.. many mic enthusiasts were upset but goes to show you don't need the most expensive mic to get great results

@crystal.argentina

The at2020 is a bit harsh at the top (a big bit lol), the other mic is smoother, but with the compression of youtube and people who dont have ears, there is no difference, buy the mic that you can afford and master it

@vannmensa

Couldn't tell the difference
Dope microphones with great sounding quality
Dope content as usual

@gregoryabat3948

Most people don’t know what to listen for… check out the harshness of the s sounds on the AT. The better mics will fit into a mix with less wrestling. You can make them both work in many cases, but the Lewitt will sound better once you start adding things like parallel compression.

@Kidd_SS313

The thing is, whatever the shortcomings of the $100 mic are. You can easily fix em with the smallest amount of processing to make it sound as good, or even better.

@Filosofuerza

99.99999% of us can’t tell the difference listening on our phones, or mediocre consumer tech, in our less than sound treated environment.

@english-ram1143

Doing this with effects is WILD

@galigiri

If you know what to hear for, the difference is huge. The voice has more body and ā€œvibrationā€ (honestly im a diy musician and I understand sounds but I suck at words, im sure there is a term — vibrato?). And then… The reverb on the Lewitt has way more body. The little nuances that you can barely perceive at first hand become clear in post processing.

Honestly, I been using a AT2020 for 5 years… You kind of convinced me to upgrade lol

@4theLifeOfTae

This at2020 mic is like little David to all these Goliaths!

@NotTuros

mix/master makes the biggest difference also acoustic in recording room. Mic makes difference between cheap and high (high - i mean about 100USD) the most

@WonderfulDay2023

Cool and fun as always.

@robdigital5920

Fantastic mixing! Love the reverb!

@Always_crusin

$100 mic with a $100 pop filter. 😮

@flytomars

The cheap mic sounds a bit auto-tuned, perhaps because it is lacking the resolution of the expensive one. Though as everyone noted, it's very subtle (but still can be heard on the phone speaker)

@MasonPollock

I feel like you should add a clean track and then the backing tracks for better showing the mics and giving you longer runtimes.
