Was I the only one bracing myself for a sudden appearance of a zombie lol
The Rattlesnake venom was the antidote. He didn't realize that when trying to save his son.
He wasn't out for 3 days if there was time to deploy the military, put up signs about a pandemic and that much dust and debris to collect on his car.
Another 3 hours of my life saved
If ever you are bitten by a rattlesnake, do NOT cut it and try to suck out the venom. It will only make it worse. That only works in the movies.
Bjorn ironside collecting toilet papers in another parallel universe 😂😂
I like the story, but the fact that they had to build a radio is utter nonsense since its not the 1800 but the 2000's. He literally walks past military vehicles and is in proximity to a city or town where im sure they have NON PERISHABLE already invented, already assembled radios manuals, and accessories, brand new in the box😅😂
Bjorn still using Viking justice
He gathered toilet paper 😂😂😂 yeah masterpiece 😂😂😂
theres a shipload of stores selling radio equipment and manuals and books in the library. Military, police, fire, ambulance stations and vehicles all with radios and they never thought to use that readily available resource until the find the kids note book of how he invented a radio transmitter?
I’ve seen other recaps but this is prob my fav recap of this movie
The novel is called Earth Abides (1949) by George R. Stewart. It's kind of a "futuristic classic", set in the San Francisco area. As luck would have it, I read this last month, so this recap of the film was like deja vu all over again. Film appears to have been largely shot in the Vancouver area.
In the end, life is all about the friends you make along the way.
I read this book 50 years ago. Really makes one realize how many competent people are needed to build and maintain a civilization.
Series name is: EARTH ABIDES It was a Limited Series that came out in 2024. It only had 6 episodes. Synopsis: "After months of isolation, Isherwood "Ish" Williams, learns that most of the world has fallen to a mysterious illness. Yet, despite his instincts to further isolate, Ish leads the charge to develop a new civilization"
Wow. The most peaceful apocalypse.... if you sleep through the intro 😅
12:54 - "to take possession of the land" - this is ridiculous. There is so much land, why anyone would fight for land if it's not scarce?
Excellent recap Bro Thank you
This reminds me of the book, out of the ashes by William Johnstone. The guy gets stung by a hive of bees and when he wakes up most people were dead.
