Apple is halting the sale of its latest Apple Watch models, the Series 9 and Ultra 2, due to a patent infringement case. As of December 21st, the company has ceased online sales, and the retail stores will no longer carry these models after December 24th. This decision follows an import ban imposed by the US International Trade Commission, which ruled in October that Apple violated patents related to blood oxygen sensor technology owned by Masimo, a medical device manufacturer.
The company is actively working on finding a resolution to circumvent the ban, but a complete resolution to the dispute may take some time.
