The Excel TRANSPOSE function changes the orientation of a range of cells, converting rows to columns or vice versa. This can be useful for reorganizing data and changing its layout for presentation or analysis.
To use the TRANSPOSE function, you can:
Select blank cells
Type =TRANSPOSE(
Type the range of cells to transpose
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
You can also use the Paste Special option to transpose data:
Select the range to transpose
Copy the range
Select where to paste the transposed data
Click Paste Special
In the Paste Special dialog box, click Values and then Transpose
Click OK
You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+V+E and Enter to transpose data.
