TWO TOKES - Samuel Swish

This cinematic lyric video was edited by me (Samuel Swish aka Sam Swiss) and I'm also the independent artist who appears on the song for this lyric video, 'Two Tokes'. It was written in 2018 and was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2020.

I would find type beats on Youtube and write whatever lyrics came to mind, often pondering for a while on a bar or even a single word.
With the help of my producer Matt Jackson Cook - he was able to breathe life into my lyrics by creating this beat around it, which ultimately became what I think is our own UK sound.

I've alway been a fan of lyrically driven rap and wanted to find a way of mixing cool visuals with the lyrics that you see on screen, basically I wanted it to have the feel of a music video with the lyrics on screen.

I watched numerous youtube tutorials on music video effects - shoutout to all these amazing editors, especially the guys at @Cinecom.net @Brooker Films and @Max Novak - you the real MVP's!

I hope you like it and enjoy it because this was a long journey into creating it. I spent numerous hours during weekends, before and after work learning and piecing this together and even if you don't like it please leave some constructive feedback.
