Part 3: The Mythological Story of Capricorn and Pisces ♑♓ | Greek Mythology Explained

Hermes, the fastest of the gods, finds the severed tendon of Zeus, who had been defeated and imprisoned, and returns it to him. Thus, Zeus regains his former strength. Meanwhile, the Moirai, the three goddesses of fate, prepare poisoned fruits and present them to Typhon. Without hesitation, Typhon eats the fruits, and the poison leaves him weakened and powerless. When the moment is ripe, Zeus wastes no time to launch his attack. He hurls the most powerful lightning bolt ever at Typhon. This time, the lightning strikes true, hitting Typhon on the head and bringing him crashing down to the ground with a great noise. Victorious in the battle, Zeus, knowing he could never face Typhon again, hurls Mount Etna onto the unconscious Typhon. Athena placed the fish figures that Aphrodite and Eros transformed into, and Zeus placed Pan among the stars in the sky for his help to the Gods in the war. Thus, the constellations of Capricorn and Pisces shine eternally among the stars.
