How I Draw from Observation: Sketching a Handmade Japanese Lamp

In this video I do an observational drawing of the Akari 5X lamp, designed by Isamu Noguchi. I create a series of continuous contour line drawings to quickly capture the essence of the lamp. This fun and simple drawing technique is an excellent way of improving sketching skills and developing our understanding of form, materiality and construction.
