Will Soda Ruin Your Teeth? - Soda Vs Tooth Experiment

In this video, Dr. Kimberly Bui will conduct an experiment to see what will happen if you leave a white clean tooth in a cup of Coca Cola for 10 days.

Soda contains a lot of sugar. A bottle of Coca Cola can contain 65 grams of sugar. Not only does soda have a lot of sugar, but it also has acidic components. The more soda you drink, the more likely you will get stains on your teeth. These acids also attack and weaken your teeth, increasing the risk of cavities. If you have bad oral hygiene on top of all of this, a lot of damage can happen. Although we know you aren’t soaking your teeth in soda all day long, this experiment was done to show the negative effects that soda can have on your teeth over time.

In conclusion, drinking soda in the long run can cause:
Stain and discoloration
Weakening of tooth structure
Decay and cavities
Can lead to serious major dental problems
