About The Panelists:
Ona Anicello is a Director of Design and Research for Alaska Airlines guest digital products and innovation. Prior to that, she spent the last 18 years working for large tech companies in the Seattle area namely, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook. She has an entrepreneurial spirit starting BEAN, an international social networking nonprofit. She is very involved in the UX community and driving the future of the UX discipline as President of UXPA Seattle and teaching in the HCDE Department at the University of Washington.
Angie Nery studied Applied Cognitive Psychology and Human Factors which has been the foundation to her love of research. Her passion to uncover latent user needs and insights has been an anchor to her success as a UX leader. She has an established track record of design, research, and innovation amongst large companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Verizon, Samsung, and now with Intuit. Today she leads a small but mighty Experience Design team that oversees the design and research for a breadth of products, exploratory ventures, and partnerships. She’s most excited by fostering designers’ and researchers’ skills of the future like influential business acumen, experience with different types of research, and service design.
Paula Desmond is an independent user research consultant and manager. Paula's career spans as a UX researcher across a number of prominent companies including Uber Freight, Facebook, Instagram, Dell and more. Paula has also taught human factors and UX research at universities like Texas Tech and the University of Minnesota.
