ヴィド—ル 『マミー×ダでぃ』 [Vidoll - Mommy x Daddy] Bass cover

This is my rendition of the Japanese Visual Kei band Vidoll's "Mommy x Daddy", a song from their 2003 EP "If...レボトミン（Y LV25）475mg", and the "If...（薬物乱用撲滅キャンぺーン）" mini album released later in the same year.

This song has special meaning to me as it was a driving factor in me picking up the bass guitar.
Rame, Vidolls bass player, had a huge influence on my bass playing and I'm super happy that I finally figured out how to play this song properly, as I had wanted to play this song ever since I first started playing bass at age 16.
Back then it seemed unfathomable how anyone could play the solo section in the middle of the song.
The other day I revisited the song and was happy to find that my playing had evolved to a high enough level that I could rather easily pick out what the hell the bass is doing here. :)

Sidenote: The band recorded this song in January of 2003. The members of the band are all born presumably somewhere around 1980, which means they would have all been around 21-24 when recording this. It never ceases to amaze me how talented and skilled these guys were for their age.
And they were not alone in that. Many bands from the underground Visual Kei scene had supremely talented musicians.
