Hammer Test For Modal Analysis

Hammer testing is done to perform Modal analysis. This helps the researcher to find the natural frequencies of the test specimen.

A hammer test requires - Accelerometers or eddy current sensors, modal hammer or a normal hammer, signal conditioners and an oscilloscope to visualize the output.

This video demonstrates the basic process of hammer testing. Always perform this under supervision. Do not use anything if you don't know what you are doing. If you have any questions, leave them in the comment.
