Technology Insights: Tank Tests

Our #Spectrum rocket's primary structures are built from high-performing, lightweight carbon composites. Watch some thrilling sections from three different tests performed consecutively on the same tank:

1️⃣ The pressure test allowed qualification of our tank under test pressure (maximum operating pressure + margin). This validated both the design and the model at room temperature

2️⃣ The cold test was used to characterize the structural behavior at operating temperatures and large temperature gradients, confirming that the strength and tightness of the tank laminate is not affected by thermal loads

3️⃣ During the burst test, the maximum burst pressure was applied to verify design margins
