What will job applications look like in 5 years?

As recruiters we are seeing more and more companies request videos in conjunction with a CV. I expect that this trend will only continue. Platforms such as SparkHire and HireVue are already in high demand and many companies will eventually ditch the traditional CV. We're already seeing this with our client base.

Obviously, there are roles that will not benefit from a video but positions in Business Development, Account Management and Customer Success are prime examples of a need for video.

The best thing you can do as a candidate is prepare:

~ Get in front of a camera as you being your job search.

~ Practice selling yourself on camera.

~ Put your best presentation forward.

~ Close the deal!
