Regular backups are a simple but effective way to safeguard your setup, giving you peace of mind knowing you can restore your configurations if anything goes wrong. We recommend making backups a part of your routine maintenance to keep your HOOBS device running smoothly. Backups are recommend:

1. After Installing or Setting Up Plugins – Once you’ve installed or configured new plugins on your HOOBS device, it’s crucial to create a backup to ensure that all of your custom settings, preferences, and plugin configurations are safely saved. Plugins sometimes involve specific customizations or integrations that are unique to your setup, and backing up your system after installation guarantees that these personalized settings are preserved.

2. After Any Configuration Changes – Whenever you make adjustments to your HOOBS setup, whether it’s altering settings or modifying device configurations, creating a backup guarantees that you have a safe restore point.

3. Before and After Major Updates – It’s always a smart practice to create a backup of your HOOBS system both prior to and after any significant software updates. Before updating, backing up your system ensures that you have your current configuration in case anything goes wrong during the update process.
