Yaw Anokwa on Helping Rural Farmers in Uganda

This year, ACM invite viewers to revisit past ByteCast interviews featuring Black computing pioneers as they share their insights, accomplishments, and lasting contributions to the global tech community.

In this clip, Yaw Anokwa discusses his life work and the impact of giving smartphones to Ugandan rural farmers.

Yaw Anokwa is the founder and CEO of ODK, the offline data collection platform that helps fight disease, poverty, and inequity. He holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Washington.
