Lambda's and Streams By Gautam Singh

ABSTRACT:

For a long time Java was debunked by its opponents for it’s verbosity. But things have changed with Java 8 with the advent of Lambda and Streams API. In this session I will talk about how we can adapt the functional style programming by utilizing lambda and streams with a ton of before and after examples. The attendees will leave the session with understanding of functional style programming, how it is different from imperative style that we are used to in Java and how to make the transition to functional style using lambdas and Streams API and start writing more elegant and concise code.
