Coffee Filter Chromatography Science Experiment for Kids

Here are two different ways to do a coffee filter chromatography experiment to demonstrate the difference between polar and non-polar molecules. The first way is the traditional chromatography experiment that showcases the different sizes of molecules as they move through the coffee filter... but it took 45 minutes to see the results! The second experiment still uses coffee filters but the results are noticeable in seconds.

Both ways are fun hands-on science experiments for kids!
