𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 are Quadratic Equations? and
𝙃𝙊𝙒 do we solve them?
First, we'll do a quick review of LINEAR equations. That's where there is no exponent on the variable in the equations. We say those are first-order equations. You solve linear equations by getting the variable by itself on one side. But how about higher order equations, where there is an exponent of 2 or greater on the variable? How do we solve those equations?
In this video, we'll do a quick introduction about the 3 main methods of solving quadratic equations:
1. Solving using the square root (radical)
2. Solving by factoring
3. Solving using the quadratic formula
Don't worry if this seems like a lot—this is just an intro! There will be more videos going into more detail about each of these methods. This is so you get familiar with the tools you'll be able to use to solve these kinds of equations.
