Opening Keynote by Minister Josephine Teo at ATxSummit 2025 (28 May 2025)

At ATxSummit 2025, Minister Josephine Teo shared Singapore’s progress since launching the refreshed National AI Strategy (NAIS 2.0), highlighting efforts to catalyse AI adoption in industry and transform the public sector.

She announced the launch of MERaLiON v2.0, a multimodal language AI model for Southeast Asia, and the formation of the MERaLiON Consortium to accelerate AI innovation through partnerships. Minister Teo also reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to AI safety, unveiling updates to the AI Verify framework and new collaborations to strengthen global AI governance.
