what i *really* spend in a week as a 23 year old living in Montreal | living cost, bills & tips!

hi guys,

i’m back! after a long break (of approximately three months 🥴) i’m picking it up from where i left and bringing you the sister video to my apartment tour; my “what i spend in a week” video 💰

i want to be fully transparent so i’m sharing with you the exact numbers of both everything i earn and everything i spend 💳 not gonna lie, it feels a little bit weird to expose myself on the internet like this, but i think it’d defeat its purpose to censor myself.

i start the video talking about my salary as a junior animator (yearly, monthly and hourly rate), bills and rent. then, i give you a full breakdown of what i spend in an average week and followed by some insights, tips and useful resources 📱 canada (specifically montreal) is different in many different ways from europe so i also share some observations regarding grocery shopping and bills 🥕

overall, montreal it’s not the most expensive place i lived (london takes the number 1 spot) but that doesn’t mean is cheap either, especially with a salary like mine 🥲 i also have to admit that i’m on the high-maintenance end of the spectrum so i could be saving more money 🏳️

it feels refreshing to be back even though i’m going to be relying on pre-recorded content from before my break for some time 🤧

every beginning of the year tends to be a little bit lethal for me so i took my time to heal, reset and make some important life changes as i wasn’t liking where i was headed to 🌬️ i also did some courses and upgraded my equipment (camera and laptop) in the meantime so i can create better content from now on.
