Part 1: The Mythological Story of Capricorn and Pisces ♑ | Greek Mythology Explained

Long ago, the gods led by Zeus won a great war against the Titans, claiming dominion over the universe and imprisoning most of the Titans deep within Tartarus. Gaia, the mother of the Titans, became enraged by this and created a powerful monster named Typhon, unleashing it upon the gods. Pan, the god of shepherds and flocks, saw the monster approaching to attack the gods and urged them to transform into animals for their protection. Pan himself attempted to take the form of a fish, but in his haste, he could not fully transform, leaving his lower half in the form of a fish while his upper half remained the same. Typhon reached Mount Olympus, the home of the gods, and wreaked havoc, destroying everything in his path in a fit of immense rage. The fleeing gods transformed into animal forms to hide from Typhon. The only deities unable to shape-shift were the gods of love, Aphrodite and her son Eros. Zeus was the only god who stood his ground and remained in human form.
