Five months into renovating our 500-year-old cottage… and it’s somehow getting stranger.

In this episode, we start insulating the roof — cramming Rockwool between the original 16th-century rafters in the hope of one day being warm again. But naturally, the rafters had other plans… namely, hiding a small army of dead mice.

It’s itchy, it’s smelly, and it’s the closest thing we’ve had to progress in a while.

We’re tired, disorganised, and very slightly losing our minds. But Muddy’s thriving, and that’s what really matters.
