How Emergency Response Vehicles Fuel Disaster Relief

Every day, American Red Cross volunteers help families affected by disasters across the country — most often, home fires. Volunteer Missy Griner, a member of her local Red Cross Disaster Action Team who responds to crises in her community at a moment’s notice, describes the type of support that she provides when she arrives on scene in an emergency response vehicle — whether it’s wrapping a blanket around the shoulders of a displaced family or providing them with water, snacks and comfort kits with toiletries.
