HHS backs off autism registry plan after backlash

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is responding to growing backlash over its initial plan to create a federal registry of Americans with autism. FOX 5’s Teresa Priolo reports that officials now say they are not creating a traditional registry but instead launching a $50 million research project to better understand the causes of autism.
